Kirk Franklin arrives in Ghana on Friday for Adom Praiz

One of the seasoned American gospel artistes, Kirk Franklin, who is billed to perform at this year’s much hyped Adom Praiz concert slated for Saturday August 3, will arrive in Ghana on Friday, August 2 with members of his band.

On Saturday, Kirk Franklin will be joined by some of the country’s hottest gospel acts including Cwesi Oteng, Cecelia Marfo, No Tribe and Ohemaa Mercy to give Ghanaians what is projected to be the biggest night in gospel music in Ghana.

Kirk Franklin, who has promised to thrill Ghanaian gospel music fans with good songs, stagecraft and dancing skill, said he will keep lovers of quality gospel on their feet the whole night.

This year’s Adom Praiz concert will take place at the 14,000-seater capacity Perez Dome, formerly Word Miracle Chapel, Dzorwulu in Accra.

The award winning concert has, over the years, hosted some of the world’s biggest names when it comes to gospel music including CeCe Winans and Ron Kenoly and this year’s show would be no exception.

The contemporary Gospel Musician of the Year, Gospel Album of the Year, Cwesi Oteng who is also billed to perform alongside Kirk Franklin, has also promised to give out his best as far live musical performances are concerned.

Expectations are rather high and keen observers of the industry are already wondering whether Adom Praiz can match the standard set last year with a back-to-back international gospel concert.

But a source close to Adom FM, organizers of the show, insisted that the organisers have a very good track record when it comes to Adom Praiz concert and that this year’s event will be historic.

Viewed as the concert which brings the best of talents, both internationally and locally, to Accra for an unforgettable night, Adom Praise concert, from its record, promises a night of fun, entertainment and vivacity.
