A large number of movie audiences over the weekend came out to watch a new Ghanaian film titled ‘Keteke’, starring Adjetey Anang, Lydia Forson, Fred Amugi, among others.

The movie, directed by Peter Sedufia, thrilled movie audiences who openly endorsed what they saw on the big screens on Saturday at Silverbird Cinemas.

The cinema halls were filled with no more seats to accommodate film enthusiasts. Some persons had to return home after they were promised they could come back to watch the movie on Monday.

The immediate environs of the Accra Mall also experienced a lot of vehicular traffic due to the large number of people who attended the event.

‘Keteke’ is a straight to the point story of Boi (AdjeteyAnang) and Atwei (Lydia Forson), a couple who are bent on delivering their first baby in Akete, but misses their first train.

A wrong decision finds them in the middle of nowhere. It highlights the rail service system in Ghana when the train serves as the only means of transport from the outskirts, as well as the family system.

Saturday’s red carpet was also attended by Ghanaian movie stakeholders alongside the cast of Adjetey Anang, Lydia Forson and Fred Amugi. Among them were Gloria Sarfo, Kofi Asamoah, Kafui Danku, Elikem Kumordzi, Ingrid Alabi, Kobi Rana, Kalybos, Ahoufe Patri and others.
