The management and staff of Accra-based radio station Kasapa FM under the EIB Network have officially parted ways with ace broadcaster and sports commentator, Fiifi Banson who has left his position at the station after serving for three years.

His exit as the morning host of “Anopa Kasapa” comes after a three-year mutual contract with the media empire came to an end May 2018.

Mr. Banson who joined the EIB brand in May 2015 bid farewell on May 1, 2018 after failing to renew his contract with the media powerhouse.

An official sendoff party was held at the premises of Kasapa FM over the weekend as a family reunion got shattered.

There was enough to eat and drink as pizza, assorted drinks and khebabs were served amid dialogues among the co-workers who celebrated the sad walk out but new phase of the media personality.

Some workers who showed appreciation to Mr. Banson for his commitment to the station and EIB as a whole prayed for doors of “more contracts and money” to open for the Dynamite, as he is affectionately called.

The future for Banson

The ace broadcaster Fiifi Banson has debunked reports he is retracing his steps to join Peace FM where he worked for 15 years as a DriveTime host before joining Kasapa.

Fiifi Banson has been cited to have said he stopped working with Peace FM not because of poor salary, an assertion many regarded as his fall out from the Despite station.

He reveals it was a great honor serving the Despite Group but he wanted to move away and explore other areas in his career.

“I’m not going back to Peace FM… I signed a three-year contract with EIB Network and the entire process was that I wanted to move away from my 15 years of DriveTime, try and explore other areas, try and do other things.”

Pato takes over

It has been rumoured that Nana Kwaku Owusu Adjei known in media circles as PATO from Agoo TV has been promoted to take over and steer the morning show Anopa Kasapa which starts at 5:45am and ends at 10am each weekday.

EIB Network has been hit by series of ‘transfers’ of its staff moving out to other media houses for reasons yet to be disclosed.
