KSM Falls For Kwaw Ansah

GHANA’S ACCLAIMED lord of comedy, Kwaku Sintim Misa (KSM) has endorsed Kwaw Ansah’s yet-to-be-released tragicomedy titled ‘The Good Old Days- The Love AA’.

“It is a spectacular piece of work. Kwaw Ansah keeps it simple but is very deep,” were KSM’s words when he was given the opportunity to talk about the movie during a press screening at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra.

‘The Good Old Days- The Love of AA’ is scheduled to premiere for the public at the National Theatre on November 19 and 20.

‘The Good Old Days’ is the umbrella title of Kwaw Ansah’s film project. The package consists of 24 episodes with different subtitles, treating different themes relevant to the Ghanaian family life during the ‘good old days’.

The film’s plot is about the adventure of a family of eight and is set in the 1950s and 1960s. It is a healthy mix of love, comedy and tragedy designed to capture the nostalgic imagination of its audience and appeal to all age groups.

Each episode brings back the joyful memories of how life was lived in Ghana about five decades ago.

The first episode, ‘The Love of AA’, is an intriguing and compelling story of love, family life, childhood mischief and pranks.

It ends with a mixture of comic and tragic events that are sure to capture the imagination of the viewing public and make people re-examine their interpersonal relations which tend to pose a great challenge to society.

Co-producer of the movie, Anima Misa Amoah, said at the screening process that the movie targets everybody including children. She therefore invited parents to bring their children to the National Theatre to see the movie. Majority of the cast are children and that makes the movie a unique one.
