KREATIVE EVENTS OSLO TO EKOUPA CULTURAL TROUPE

Kreative event’s organizers of Ghana’s cultural heritage inside Oslo- Norway, 2011 has invited the Ekoupa Cultural Troup from Ghana to be part of this year’s great experience of exhibiting the rich cultural dance from the 11th -20th of February 2011.

The event according to Mr. Francis kwamena Acquah, who is the co-ordinator, explained the annual show as: ‘the aim of the event is to raise funds for street children in Ghana and in view of that we thought it wise to engage the Ghanaian community in Norway’.

On the reason for selecting Ekoupa Cultural troupe, the organizer Rich Ocloo also added that, Ekoupa is a reputable and recognized cultural group in Ghana and as such we invited them to perform and fraternize with the larger Ghanaian Community in Norway to achieve the aim of raising the funds.

Nana Odoom VI the chief founder and leader of Ekoupa Troupe also showed acceptance for this special invitation by lamenting that, Ekoupa Cultural group was handed over to our generation by our ancestors; hence we are deep socked into such performances.

We have performed in most local and international circles plus EKuopa cultural troupe showcases Ghana especially its rich cultural heritage dance. The founder and leader rounded up his talk as, ‘our purpose for the show is to come back and cut a sword for a Teenage Mother’s Schools complex to be cited in Mankessim in Ghana.’

Kreative Events Oslo is set to entice the Ghanaian community in Norway to a week of rich cultural performances and Ekoupa troupe is ready to do justice come 11th of February 2011.
