KASADU "Unimpressed" With Government Snub In Crash Analyses.

We are saddened by the deaths of the poor souls who perished in the Allied Air disaster at the Kotoka International Airport on June 3. We pray for mercy for their souls and strength for their families at this hard time.

However, the Kokompe, Agbogbloshie, Suame Magazine and Abossey Okai Scrap Dealers Union (KASADU) will like to express our frustration at the government and emergency services for not allowing our members access to the wreckage of the unfortunate plane crash that occurred at the KIA.

We believe our considerable expertise and service to the economy over the years is being taken for granted and being overlooked.

"As people who deal with all kinds of metals with varying degrees of freedom, we are shocked that the big men are not giving us the go-ahead to see what can be done about moving the wreckage," said Peter Kweku Bamfo a dealer from the Abossey Okai cluster and Executive Director of KASADU Worldwide.

"The governments of past and present have always said they will empower us to be more modern in our approach to scrap metal and metalo-recycling. This is their chance to honour their pledge," said Nana Adwoa Kusi-Appiah, Board Secretary of KASADU, who also doubles as head of the KASADU-Agbogbloshie cell.

Speaking on behalf of the KASADU-Kokompe cell, Emmanuel Appiah-danquah said: "Hoooo, these booklong people in the state houses will go and hire some big, big machines that will cost Ghana plenty, plenty. Meanwhile, we are here and will be charging some small 50 Ghana, 50 Ghana too."

Meanwhile, Propaganda Secretary for KASADU, Bright Simons, is negotiating with the Civil Aviation Authority on "equitable distribution of jobs on site".

KASADU is the largest grouping of organized scrap dealers and metallic recyclers in West Africa. KASADU prides itself on wide and varied geographical representation with workers from all ten regions and religious backgrounds. We are in the process of determining if we will accept all sexual orientations. That may take another twenty years or so.

KASADU is soon to inaugurate branches at the Bolga Old Market [near the Comme Ci Comme Ca Hotel] and in the Brong Ahafo Region [around the Wenchi Market Circle]
