Joyce Ababio College of Creative Designs holds 22nd graduation

Joyce Ababio College of Creative Designs has held its 22nd graduation ceremony for 199 students on the theme, “Glitz, Glamour, Fashion, Forward”.

The ceremony saw 160 students graduating with Certificate in Fashion Design, 20 had Diploma and Degree in Fashion, 5 with certificates in Graphic design and 14 others taking part in the Vlisco Competition.

Out of the 14 students who took part in the Vlisco Competition, Bello Imole Omowuni was crowned the winner, Onyekachi Ijeoma Emelia was the first runner and Kwakye Deborah took the second runner up spot.

According to management of the institution, every year Vlisco provides fabrics for students to help bring out their creativity and innovative skills through the competition.

An award winning Ghanaian designer, Michael Addo of well-known fashion trademark “QuophiAkotuahgh” who is also an old student of the Joyce Ababio College of Creative Designs advised the graduating class not to be in a hurry to set up a brand but rather study the market first before venturing into their own businesses.

Guests present at the event were thrilled with stunning fashion displays from the graduating students.
