'Joromi' singer, Simi named for M.anifestivities 2018

Simi, the beloved Nigerian singer famed for compelling Afropop love songs including “Joromi” joins the lineup of artists for this year’s M.anifestivities, the perennial end-of-year concert by rapper M.anifest.

Slated for the Bukom Boxing Arena on December 23, the concert will also witness guest performances from Efya, Kwesi Arthur, B4Bonah, Worlasi and a host of others.

An estimated 4000 patrons are expected at the venue on the night, which the Singitdamnit rapper describes as his biggest M.anifestivities yet.

Aside live performances, the night also comprises DJ battles, rap battles, and a food court. This year, the event runs under the theme “The GMT Live Experience.”

Speaking to members of the press during a tour of the venue December 6 ahead of the concert, the rapper born Kwame Ametepe; recipient of multiple awards and author of critically acclaimed bodies of work including his latest, Nowhere Cool (September 2016). He also divulged that more acts will be announced for the festival, which he notes is bigger than him at this point.



Simi is among M.anifest’s 2018 international collaborators, alongside Adekunle Gold and Olamide. The show has previously also hosted Brymo, who appears on two songs off Nowhere Cool.



On forthcoming projects, M.anifest implied heavily that two project: one by himself and another with Worlasi will be published soon.
