Controversial Film Director cum Producer Jones Agyemang has jabbed the Public Relations and Welfare Officer for the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) Michael Kwaku Ola for spreading misinformation about the film bill.
According to him, the FIPAG PRO sent invitation letter across with the indication that the minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare would be having a forum with industry players at the Kumasi Center for National Culture with the aim of dialoging on the passage of the Film Bill but unfortunately the forum turned to be a different issue.
A short letter was on Monday circulated on various platforms inviting film makers for a forum on the film bill which was to come off on Thursday, 9th June, 2016 at Quarshie Idan hall, Kumasi cultural center.
Sharing his thoughts after the program, Jones Agyemang told SeanCitygh.com that he is much disappointed in Ola for given out a misinformation about the forum. ‘’Honestly I would not rule out Ola from this mess because he circulated the false information around. I have even cautioned him to be circumspect in sending out information’’.
The furious Director slammed the FIPAG PRO for not being abreast with issues concerning the film bill.
The forum was warmly attended by some bigwigs in the film industry including the General Secretary of FIPAG James Aboagye, Mike Kwaku Ola PRO, Samuel K. Nyamakye (Miracle Films) Bill Asamoah Actors Guild President, Mercy Asiedu, Rose Mensah Kyeiwaa, Michael Afrane, Samdakus, Evans Kwaku Atwere -MUSIGA Secretary Ashanti, Augestina Addison, MUSIGA Chairman Ashanti -Nana Aboagye Dacosta Jones Agyemang and many others.
