Mr John Sena, a talented gospel artist, has launched his album titled “Declarative” to encourage all believers to achieve whatever they have been believing God for.

The album has a 30-minute medley, 20-minute medley and declarative songs that can be played at all times to uplift the spirit. Launching the album in Accra, Mr Sena said proceeds made from his music over the years had been used to support about 200 children in deprived communities in the Eastern Region.

“A chunk of what comes out from the album sale goes into supporting the projects. The NGO activities are usually self-funded and because I’m a music minister I try to use proceeds from whatever I get, and support that comes from others to support the communities,” he said.

He does this under the auspices of Inspire Love International, an Accra-based humanitarian non-governmental organisation focused on providing health care, education, leadership and empowerment as well structural growth for the deprived communities.

Highlighting the activities of the NGO, the Gospel artist said: “We have borehole projects, a child sponsorship programme, which has seen about 200 children through school so far. “We also have health care programmes, and bridge constructions in the villages.”

During the launch, a number of children who are due for sponsorship and need support through school were displayed. People got the chance to read the profile of the child and if they are interested sponsor his or her education.

The organisation also raises funds by storming the streets to collect contributions, washing cars and selling cookies.

“Our choice of fund raising technique depends on what project we are embarking on as some of the projects do not need a lot of money. We write proposals for support for projects that need a substantial amount of money,” he explained.

He urged Ghanaians to purchase the album as buying it translated into support for deprived communities as well as encouragement for the organisation to bless more people.
