John Mahama gave Jewel Ackah GHC2,000 monthly until his demise – Sister

Sister of late legendary highlife musician, Jewel Ackah, known as Auntie Mama, has disclosed that former president John Mahama supported the highlife legend whiles he was on his sick bed.

Speaking in a recent interview with Feeling Daddy on Western Region based Empire FM said that the ex-president of the Republic has been 'Jesus to her late brother'.

“ May God bless him , since he got to know Jewel Ackah and they become friends, he supported him financially by sending him 2,000gh every month and even when Jewel was admitted at 37 Military hospital he came over to visit him on several occasions followed by a 10,000gh donation when he was discharged” She said.

The sensational musician, who is a known supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), passed away on Friday, April 27.

He was known to have been battling stroke and other sicknesses for about a decade.
