'Joggle my number; dont Google my number' by Obri Yeboah

Formerly known as Diojo, Obri Yeboah has released his debut single, ‘Joggle my number’, a new term used to willing give your phone contact to a friend or a long time buddy or someone you meet just like the then new BBM phrase, ‘Ping me’.

Born Ishmael Opoku Acheampong, Obri Yeboah is very optimistic that his first single will indeed make hit elaborated on the term ‘joggle’.

“It is a term just to keep Ghanaians finding interest in getting the actual word right; it’s quite interesting when you tell a friend to joggle your number, and he or she mistakes that for ‘google’ my number.”

According to him, some friends who he tested the term on before the song was released went contemplating on what he actually meant by ‘joggle’ my number although they had already exchanged contacts and “that’s how the term stuck on the lips of most people especially in the tertiary institution.”

He further noted that until the term got to the lips of the masses many puzzled asking why he or she would ‘Google’ his number when that was impossible, “it was interesting seeing the looks on people’s faces trying to understand what one meant by ‘joggle my number."

After ‘joggling’ the lady his number, 'Questions' is Obri Yeboah's second single “it baffled me when she browned me and never called, I then decided to ask her questions anywhere I meet her to find out what I did to her and also state to me clearly my role in her life.

On why he made the name-change, Diojo now Obri Yeboah said, “indeed, Diojo was a so cool name, I felt the need to use a home-name. My culture, identity and roots mattered to me as I wanted to be easily known by country.”

With his debut single which appears to have created a new buzz in the society, “I hope to continue composing very catchy and good songs to heighten my brand.” ‘Joggle my number’ features Blaqout produced by I am Streets GH beats of Tema as well as ‘Questions’, his second single.

He featured on the Tema all stars songs composed for Castro upon his mysterious missing event which occurred on Sunday, July 6, 2014 titled, ‘Castro; we need you back’ including Keche, Dadie Opanka, Stay Jay, and others produced by Qwesi King.

Obri Yeboah is currently under new management led by Francis Nyatepe Attipoe.
