Jennifer is out!!!

Jennifer Chonia, one of Ghana’s best singers based abroad has launched her maiden album, Mighty Power at the Path of Life ministry, Zurich, Switzerland.

With a charming beauty, a voice of an angel and a talent which she describes as a special gift from God, Jennifer is set to rock the gospel music scene in Ghana and the world.

She has eight tracks on her album with songs like Atseo le Yesu, Yeyi woaye Be praised and others.

In an exclusive interview with modernghana.com, Jennifer has these to say.

According to her, it all started sixteen years ago, when she gave her life to Christ.

Having realised this she decided to use her voice to do no other thing than to praise God.

She then joined the Grace Gospel ministry (mamprobi branch) in Accra, Ghana. There she joined two singing groups: The Anointed Choir of the Church and an incorporated group called the Gospel Melodians.

Apart from singing in Church, they sang at various concerts including a tour of Switzerland.

She later moved to Switzerland. Whiles in Switzerland, she had the inspiration to write her own songs and at the same time joined a choir by name Universal choir of Zurich (UCF). She led the group in singing the title track of their debut album (Praise Him Everyday).

Jennifer was born at mamprobi, a surburb of Accra, Ghana. She had her basic education at the Roman Catholic middle school, and then proceeded to the Social Advance institute for her Business and Secretarial Studies.

She is married to Mr. Babna Chonia and has two sons: Nii Tuah Chonia and Emmanuel chonia. She presently attends the Path of Life ministry church led by Pastors Jonathan and Karen Botchway, Oelikon Switzerland. Apart from singing in the church she assists a lot of artists with background vocals in recording studios.

Being the first and the only person to come out prominently as a singer in her family, Jennifer likes to be referred as a blessed one and a dynamic power house when it comes to praise and worship.
