Popular Ghanaian actor James Gardiner has called on Ghanaians to act matured and responsible during the December 7 polls to maintain the peace the country has enjoyed over the years.
Ghana goes to the polls in what could be described as one of the most fiercely contested elections in the country. Countries like DR Congo, Liberia and Sierra Leone amongst others have been plunged into civil war as a result of elections.
Speaking exclusively to 3news.com, the talented actor called for togetherness and pleaded with Ghanaians to maintain the peace being currently enjoyed in the country.
“I feel that now more than ever is when we should all come together and those who have the vote should put it out there. “It is not necessarily about the party you are affiliated to but it’s the oneness because at the end of the day it’s our country and our Ghana and nobody is going to come mend it for us if anything is to go wrong”.
He called on all voters to cast their votes and accept the results as it is, when they are announced.
“Let’s keep in mind that we have children and even children who are yet to be born and enjoy all the beautiful things in this country. So let’s just push for peace because at the end of the day Ghana wins”.
