Celebrating the rich culture and the wonderful Ghanaian heritage, AGUS in partnership with the Embassy of Ghana and Rolex Vision Management on Switzerland is organising the Ghana Day on the 7th of July, 2018.

Ghana is a West African Nation which has a population of of about 27 million. It is divided into 10 regions with each region having its unique language being spoken.

As a result on emigration, these languages are mixed up amongst the people in that they are not spoken by a specific group, but others people who are not from that region and even foreign nationals learn how to speak them as well. A mixture of the culture is one wonderful delight from this feat.

In a conversation with Mrs Abigail Lamptey who is the Chairperson for AGUS which is main union, she promised that it's going to be a day where Ghanaian culture will play center stage and would be shown to the world how rich the Ghanaian heritage is. She also invites tourism enthusiasts to be part of the first Ghana Day Festival in the heart of Zurich Switzerland.

The Association of Ghanaian Unions in Switzerland will use this day to sell the rich and wonderful Ghanaian culture in Switzerland. There will be live performances from Black Earth Band based in Zurich, Revelation Power Gospel Band based in Zurich, Shabo and the Crew based in ITALY and so many more. The unions consist of Zongo Association, Western and Central Club, Ghana Society Basel, Brong Ahafo Union, Ghana United Association of Zurich, Ga Adamgbe Association of Switzerland and Greater Volta Association.

It’s a free event which will have Rexx Abbey from London as the MC for the night. There will be an after party which is being organized by Rolex Vision Entertainment in partnership with AGUS. The venue is VIP Ferrari Hohlstrasse 216, 8004 Zurich.
