It’s sad I get 80% of Kumasi shows but I’m still unnoticed – Flowking Stone cries

Kumasi-based Rapper, Flow King Stone is worried artistes outside Accra cannot make the needed impact in the industry.

According to him, all the attention is in Accra and therefore although some artistes are doing very well outside Accra, they are not given the needed attention.

He made this known when he spoke to Showbiz in an interview.

Flow King said “Everything is happening in Accra. Apart from all the connections and sponsors here, all the event centres are here in Accra, talk of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), the National Theatre, the Fantasy Dome, the Banquet Hall of the State House just to mention a few”.

“It looks like you need to be based in Accra before you make it big time. Almost all the A-list artistes are in Accra and that explains why most artistes are moving from the other regions to Accra.”

He noted that although he gets a number of shows in Kumasi, it does not make it to the headlines and make the needed impact because it’s not in Accra.

“I get almost 80 percent of my shows in Kumasi, I was one of the busiest artistes last year but because I was in Kumasi, hardly did anyone notice me because all the focus was on Accra.”
