It’s now “African Gospel in Classical Hymns and Songs” - SBM Management

The management of International Act Minister Sonnie Badu, wish to inform the public and the International community that “Gospel goes Classical” the name of its fourth classical live recording album has been changed to “African Gospel in Classical Hymns and Songs” with effect from now.

The change is due to the fact that Sonnie’s management, Smarttys Management and Production together with the Sonnie Badu Ministries (SBM) recently became aware of the fact the name “Gospel goes classical” is the intellectual property of the Artist Company, based in the United States.

In a release to media houses, the management and SBM emphasized that they “appreciate the work of the Executive Director of the Artist Company, Vernice Watson and the “Gospel goes classical” team for their contribution to Gospel worldwide.” They also reiterated that they as a team behind Minister Sonnie Badu would not do anything to undermine the work of the Artist Company.

“The name “Gospel goes Classical” was originally coined by the SBM and Smarttys Management & Production and the New Palmist Church has nothing to do with it”, the statement stressed.

In view of the above change in name, all promoters worldwide have been advised to stop using promo materials with the name AGGC. The statement further apologized to the Artist Company and has since changed the name of the live recording to “African Gospel in Classical Hymns and Songs”.

Meanwhile the live recording of Sonnie’s new album is still on for November 1. The live classical recording concert would be Sonnie Badu’s fourth album with a classical twist. The live recording album is said to feature two top American Gospel artistes; Jonathan Nelson and Darwin Hobbs.

The album would be recorded by award winning sound engineer Danny Dunkin, who has recorded many gospel great including, Israel Houghton, Cece Winnans and Marvin Sapp.

So come Saturday, November 1, over 4000 believers are expected to gather in Maryland at the New Psalmist Baptist Church-6020 Marian Dr. Baltimore MD 21215 for a historic Live Recording Concert by Strings for Christ Orchestra.

This historic concert promises to be the best from Sonnie Badu. Many have already purchased their tickets, but for more enquiries and any information, please visit http://www.sonniebadu.com/ for further details and registration or questions can be directed to info@sonniebadu.com.
