To which, Mr. Dumelo who is also a farmer responded: “That’s like 5k cedis. That can buy 5 pigs and feeding for 6 months. You will get about 50 pigs in a year. You can sell some of them and make profit and buy the new Samsung next year and still have pigs.”

Some users condemned his response, describing it as harsh. One of such fans retorted by also doing a breakdown of how many taxis the MP aspirant would’ve been able to procure if had sold his V8. His analogy was however quickly shut down by others as several people commended Mr. Dumelo for exhibiting wisdom and providing entrepreneurial insight.
“The v8 u use can buy 20 taxis. And within 5 years they can make u enough money to buy the a v8 and still have 20 taxis”
“Nicely put but makes no sense in this context. @johndumelo1 isn't begging anyone to buy him a v8.”
“Some of you sit behind your phone and type any rubbish that comes into your head”
“That's why I like this guy.Simple ,straight forward, real and above all business minded. @johndumelo1 adey look up to you.”
“Well but most of the youth will still not see the sense in this. Way of escaping unemployment is this !”
“this is what our leaders don't see about agriculture. @johndumelo1 agriculture students are proud of u.”
John Dumelo has over the past few years championed agriculture and been advising the youth to take up entrepreneurial ventures in that regard.
A practicing farmer himself, the NDC Member of Parliament aspirant for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency has been speaking on a number of platforms on how the youth can capitalize agriculture to escape the unemployment bracket.
He’s also encouraged government to boost the youth by aiding in providing capital for startup agricultural businesses.
