A renowned film director cum producer, Rev Samuel Nyamekye is calling on Isaac Rockson a film director and critic to render an apology to producers in Kumasi for describing their productions as trash.
According to him, the comments made by Isaac Rockson are unwarranted and unfortunate.
Mr. Isaac Rockson has described movies that are produced in Kumasi as trash and must not be taken serious.
Isaac Rockson asserted that the producers in Kumasi are polluting the market with substandard movies on the market.
He added that the quality of movies Kumasi film makers are shooting is destroying the image of Ghana, thereby making it difficult for the good ones to be recognized internationally.
But in a quick response, the chief executive officer of Miracle Films rubbished the assertion and described it as awful.
‘’I respect Rockson very much but for him to describe our works as ‘’trash’’ is not the best ‘’.
Rev Nyamekye further stated that, the entire Akan movie fraternity demands an apology from Isaac Rockson for using such words on their productions.
