Self-proclaiming dancehall king of Ghana, Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah has taken time off his busy schedule to wade into fresh controversy with Nigerian artiste, Wizkid.
The “Low Tempo” hit maker took to his Twitter account to wish his ‘Wizkid’ fans well during the festive season.
He said, “Merry Christmas to all my @wizkidayo fans”. It however remains unclear if the wish was coming in good fate or it was just another way of making himself popular in Nigeria to receive nore backlash over his recent comments about Wizkid.
Shatta Wale sparked a sort of Ghana vrs. Nigeria social media war when he openly claimed that he did not consider Wizkid to be a superstar as considered by many Ghanaians and Ghanaian artistes.
According to the “Taking Over” hit maker he expected Wizkid to rather be awe-struck by his presence due to his wealth and investments.
His comments were however not taken lightly by many Nigerians who are ardent fans of Wizkid born, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun. There were many incidents that took place in the aftermath of the social media war.
In one instance, Shatta Wale took to Facebook to record a video throwing more shade on the fans of Wizkid who came out to attack him over his comments.
In another video that was posted on Facebook, the “Ayoo” hit maker was seen firing live bullet rounds into the air.

It was after he had allegedly threatened to ‘worry’ Nigerian artistes if they came to Ghana. He however came out later after he was criticized for his action and indicated that the action was just to scare and drive away robbers from his neighborhood.
He made headlines when he appeared at the concert of one of his purported rivals in the dancehall industry, Stonebwoy and shared the same stage with him.
