Veteran Nollywood actress Apostle Dr Eucharia Anunobi has emphasised that whenever she is introduced on any platform, it must be done properly, with her correct titles and official name.
While appearing as a guest on “The Honest Bunch Podcast,” the host initially introduced her as Eucharia Anunobi Ekwu. She corrected the host, insisting she be introduced properly, as she remains Apostle Dr Eucharia Anunobi.
According to the veteran actress, her doctorate degree is not honorary, it is academic, and therefore must be recognised when she is introduced.
“My doctorate degree is not honorarium. It is academic. I’ve worked, I’ve laboured, I’m schooled. I am a woman of God, an ordained woman of God. A foremost, not just superstar, I’m a megastar when it comes to acting. I’m a moving acting machine,” she said.

She further stressed the importance of giving people the proper introduction, noting that in this part of the continent, people often diminish their own and fail to give them the honour they deserve.
“It is necessary and expedient that people are given the right introduction because we all always like to diminish our own and don’t give them the honour that’s due to them. So if you want to introduce me, you introduce me properly,” she noted.
Addressing the “Ekwu” part of the introduction, which referenced her ex-husband Charles Ekwu, she clarified that the relationship has been dissolved, and the name has been removed from her identity.
“And then I don’t know where you got the Ekwu from. Yeah, there was a court wedding, but there was no traditional wedding and there was no church wedding. And that relationship had been dissolved. And that name has been expunged and it’s gone and buried and will never resurrect,” she said.
"If you want to introduce me, you introduce me properly. I am remain Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi. My doctorate degree is not honorarium. It is academic. I had worked. I had laboured. I am schooled. And when I mean schooled, I mean schooled... I'm a moving acting machine."
