I was hospitalised for stress not poisoning – Flowking

Ghanaian rapper Kwaku Nsiah-Boamah, popularly known as Flowking Stone has said that reports about the circumstances surrounding his hospitalisation last week were exaggerated by the media and a section of Ghanaians.

Reports were rife in the media that the rapper and his beloved wife were hospitalised for poisoning, whiles others attributed it to a lorry accident after shooting a video in Takoradi.

But the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Hiplife Song of the Year award winner who seemed amazed by the reports, in an interview with OneCharles on Otec FM’s Anokyekrom described the reports as exaggerated and far from the truth.

”Yes I was hospitalised but it was neither for food poisoning nor a lorry accident, it was stress because I work too much without taking proper rest,” he revealed.

According to him, he was not feeling well and refused to rest against his doctors' advice but rushed to shoot the video of his upcoming song titled ‘Bronya ade3’ which features Ayes3m in Takoradi to save cost.

”I had already sent a video director to Takoradi together with the camera and lights that we rented for Ghc 3,500 per day for 2days including their hotel bills, so we would have incurred more debts if they stayed for additional days, hence my decision to rush to finish the video immediately I gained a little strength.” he explained.

The ‘mekyekyea’ rapper added that he became weak on his return from the video shoot in Takoradi and was subsequently hospitalised after which he was warned by his doctor to rest in order to regain fitness.

He noted that some Ghanaians are quick to spread confused and incorrect reports of celebrity deaths, adding that, ‘had it not been God who is with us, they would have killed us with their death hoaxes.’

Flowking Stone disclosed that the video of the upcoming ‘Bronya Ade3’ song will be out doored after a week when all final touches have been done to bring out striking visuals for the enjoyment of Ghanaians.
