I swapped basketball for Music – D Black

Ghanaian rapper D-Black has revealed that he was a basketball player during his time at school before considering music.

D Black, in an exclusive interview with TV3 revealed that he was a sportsman in school, playing football but later developed interest in basketball before he opted to go into music

“I used to play football in school but switched to basketball when I went to Pope Johns secondary school where I made the basketball team for my school.

“The soccer team at Pope Johns was made up of players who were too strong for my liking and that was the reason I decided on playing basketball

“I think I had a bigger passion for making music than I did for sports and like I said in secondary school, I didn’t really think there was much of a future in basketball at that point,” he explained how he became a musician.
