I regret leaving my first husband – Maame Dokono

Veteran actress of popular Akan Drama series ‘Obra’, Grace Omaboe, otherwise known as Maame Dokono has said she feels disappointed divorcing her first husband.

The former Television hostess said she caused problems for herself after she married her second husband.

According to her, during her prime time, she allowed her ego to take the better part of her which resulted in the sad end of her first marriage.

Maame Dokono further told Delay, she made petty errors in her first marriage which when she is given the chance to correct her past she will do that with all gladness.

Speaking on her second marriage, the veteran actress advised women not to mainly consider the outward appearance when they are looking for a marriage partner.

“I’ve married twice but the last one was really a mess. If I knew my last marriage will be that bad, I would have stayed with my first husband. My first husband is almost 80 years and still married with children and grand children. I do regret leaving my first husband and he knows I have regretted my actions.” She said, her second husband who looks handsome portrayed fake lifestyle and used cunning words to outwit her to fall for him.

“My second husband was so handsome and the kind of lifestyle she was living made me fell in love with him but he had a terrible attitude.” Asked if she missed her first husband, Maame Dokono, replied, “Oh yes of course and this is my biggest regret of my life.. I miss him but he’s married.”

Feeling disappointed, Maame Dokono said the collapse of her two marriages has thought her a big lesson that not all that glitters is gold.

She added that once she’s out of the two marriages, she wants to devote her life for the less privilege children and women.

The veteran actress believes men are afraid to approach her due to her celebrity status. But, Maame Dokono said she is happy being single after men broke her heart.

“I have served a lot of men in my life for several years but when you are not appreciated, you don’t feel like doing it again” she bemoaned.

“If I cook for you and wash your panties and later you cheat on me why should I bother about marriage?”.

Maame Dokono said she now has a bad perception about men but she’s praying hard for God to change her mind.
