Edward Kofi Agyeman, popularly known as Kofi Mole, a fast-rising Hip Hop, and Afrobeat artiste has disclosed how selling used clothing at Kantamanto and his pursuit of a career in music affected his education at the tertiary level.

In an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso, of the Delay Show, Kofi Mole spoke about the major business he indulged in after he moved from Kumasi to Accra.

“I used to sell at Kantamanto with my half-brother. We sold clothes, shoes, chains, everything,” he revealed.

According to him, he deferred his courses at the University of Ghana in level 200; where he studied Psychology, Philosophy and Religion, because he was far interested in music and his business.

“I wanted to make music, plus the things I used to sell had taken my attention too much. When my fees are paid for the semester, it is that same business I used to hold myself in school,” he said.

Kofi Mole revealed that it took him alot of days for him to finally decide to defer.

“It started from the time when I missed my IAs, end of semester exams,” he mentioned.

However he could not continue his clothes selling business as an unfortunate incident happened in 2013.

“Kantamanto got burnt in 2013, and we lost our stores,” he said.

Mole hinted the possibility of going back to continue his university education.

“I deferred my course formerly, and I can go back. Anything can happen. I am happy I deferred and can always go back,” he stated.
