I never wanted to be a popular artiste – Mr Eazi

Nigerian-born Afrobeat singer Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade popularly known for his stage name Mr Eazi says he had never wanted to be popular as a Musician.

The Starboy Wide / Meister Music signed artiste disclosed this in an interview with Shopsydoo and DJ Yung Milli on Beat 103.6 FM London.

He told the host ” I was never doing music to become popular…. i still don’t see myself as a popular star.. it was just me and my people catching some vibe in the Studios,I never planned it everything is a surprise to me ”

He also touched on issues concerning his infamous tweet on Ghanaian influences in Nigerian music today, his Life is Eazi world tour and others.

Scheduled to start in New York City, the tour is expected to see him make stops at several other destinations across the globe, like was the case with his Life is Eazi tour last year, which was crowned in Lagos last month.

Songs like Skin Tight, Dance For Me, Bankulize, and Leg Over, because of their wide success, have catapulted him to international fame, signing with Wizkid’s StarBoy Worldwide, sharing a stage with Lauryn Hill, appearances on Tim Westwood TV, headlining concerts at prime venues as the Indigo O2, among other feats.
