I'm ready to work with GFA - Shatta Wale

Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior popularly known as Shatta Wale has admitted that he has received calls from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and that he and his management team are ready to work with them.

In an interview on Pluzz FM, the VGMA artiste of the year winner reiterated that though negotiations have not started yet, it is a good deal to support and make sports stand out in Ghana.

“It has come to the notice of my management and we are working on it. We have received few calls, but we have not started the negotiation process.”

“I think this is a good venture because it’s a platform for us to support our own. I think it's a good initiative to make sports in Ghana better.”

“I will be glad if all musicians like Stonebwoy, Jupitar and others join hands to push this higher level.”

This new development by the Ghana Football Association was due to the poor attendance to Premier League matches over the years mainly due to the lacking presence of established and exciting players.

The GFA is making direct efforts to enhance patronage of league matches by signing an agreement to have some of the top performers in Ghana thrill and entertain fans at venues.
