I’m not rude – Shatta Wale

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has dispelled perceptions that he is rude and arrogant based on how he speaks and puts up in public.

Speaking on Starr Drive, Thursday, with Bola Ray and Anita Erskine, the ‘Dancehall Commando’ said he has learnt a lot from “past mistakes” and has turned on a new leaf.

According to him, until one gets closer to him, it is very difficult to know his real character in private life.

“I have been through a lot in this industry and I have learnt from my past mistakes. Right now people can call me that through me they have done this or that. I have calmed down,” Shatta Wale said.

The Shatta Movement king was in the news this week, having severed ties with his management Bullhaus Entertainment.

Bullhaus Entertainment announced parting ways with the controversial entertainer over a frosty relationship.

“The management of Bullhaus Entertainment wishes to bring to the notice of the general public that we no longer have a working relationship with multiple award winning artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah A.K.A. Shatta Wale effective immediately,” the statement said.

It added: “We are humbled to have been part of the success story up until this point, and wish Shatta Wale all the best in his future endeavours. We also wish to thank Shatta Wale and his Shatta Movement team for choosing us as managers for his professional career for these past years. We will forever be fans of Shatta Wale and his music and still believe in the mantra of the Shatta Movement. ‘Shatta Movement for life”.
