American actor, filmmaker and entrepreneur Tyler Perry has revealed that he has no plans to get married, citing the financial consequences of divorce as one of his major concerns.

According to the Hollywood star, he has witnessed people who were financially successful lose a significant portion of their wealth following divorce.

Speaking in an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Tyler Perry mentioned that his issue is not marriage itself but what could happen if the relationship eventually ends.

“I’m never getting married. It’s not about the marriage that bothers me, but it’s the divorce. Everybody that I know that did well and went broke is because of divorce,” he said.

The filmmaker explained that he would rather maintain his freedom than put himself in a situation where a potential divorce could affect his finances.

“So I’m good, I’m just being free,” Tyler Perry added.

“I'm never marrying, and it's actually because of The Divorce pandemic that's happening. Everybody that I know that was doing well went broke because of Divorce.”🙆💔
