Ghana’s African Print market has received a major boost from the United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Iain Walker.
According to him the weather in Ghana is not so favourable for the wearing of shirts, suits and ties and the best in style is to look for African Print.
Speaking to Kwabena Kyenkyenhene Boateng on 21 Minutes with KKB on Ghanaweb, Mr Iain Walker said he loves African Prints and they are stylish.
“I do love to wear them. They are stylish, and the weather here is better than being in shirt and tie and suits”, he told KKB.
The High Commissioner who has tried to assimilate some Ghanaian culture took his turn on 21 Minutes with KKB also said he enjoyed ‘Kofi Brokeman’ or roadside roasted plantain.
His predecessor, Jon Benjamin has had a lot to do outside his core duties of a diplomat including using social media to comment on trending issues and trolls. But Mr Iain Walker has a different style altogether, and what we know so far, is that African Prints and Kofi Brokeman have a place in that plan.
