Isaac Oppong, the promising Gospel singer and preacher, announces his first 2020 submission.

“I’m Changing Things,” as the record is christened, arrives as his third official single (“Gye W’ayeyi,” his moving debut, was published in 2018, followed by the KODA-produced “Yahweh” in May 2019).

A worship hymn born out of “a deep reflection of God’s providence and sovereignty,” per its author, “I’m Changing Things” (also produced by KODA) holds an essential spiel for the nation of Ghana and beyond.

“In this song, God speaks to everyone—no matter their situation—to reassure them of his presence, his word, his power and his timing,” he encourages, adding that the number serves as “a reassuring message God has for his children concerning what he is doing and is about to do in their lives. With the many challenges people are experiencing in their lives today, many are no longer able to trust God to come through for them, many can’t trust His word and have therefore given up.

Oppong has practised music professionally for about a decade, and describes his craft as not merely a vocation, but “the way I contact God.

“I know God has a message to the world through me, I believe in the grace of God on my life,” he adds.

Thematically, Oppong seeks to render songs that magnify the name of the Lord and remind us of His superiority above all things.”

He also seeks to share songs that will inspire people to “hold on to their knowledge of God and what he can do.”

The song is expected in coming days.
