Media Excel boss, Ernest Kwesi Annin has vowed to get money paid to self acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale refunded after the artiste failed to show up at an event held in Kwahu Abetifi last year.
Bliss on the Hills is an annual event initiated by Bryan Acheampong, MP for Kwahu Abtifi powered by Kwahu Republic and Media Excel.
On December 29, Shatta wale was expected to join reggae/dancehall artistes including Jupitar, Stonebwoy, Samini, and Ras Kuuku to entertain patrons who were charged up for him, but the event ended without him.
Speaking to Christian Agyei Frimpong, host of Onua 95.1 FM’s entertainment talk show Anigye Mmre, Kwesi Ernest said, "Shatta Wale was fully paid and he later requested for extra amount , His manager told me Shatta Wale was in Kwahu around 8pm but according his manager, Shatta Wale was not comfortable with the hostel we provided for him so he got angry and drove to Accra.”
Kwesi Ernest went on to say that, artistes ought to respect the investment event organizers put in to organize events.
This is not the first time an artiste has failed to show up for the Bliss on the Hills. Two years ago, Joyce Blessing could not make it to the event after being involved in an accident on her way to the event but Kwesi Ernest stormed the offices of Zylofon Media, her managers, to demand for a refund, which was paid.
The question many are asking is whether, Kwesi Ernest will be able to take the money from Shatta Wale? Time will tell
