I’m a part-time Christian – Kinaata confesses

‘Things Fall Apart’ hitmaker Kofi Kinaata has confessed that he is a “part-time Christian” himself.

According to him, leaders of faith-based institutions do not portray lifestyles worthy of emulation as there was no display of love but money and affluence

The musician told Francis Abban on the Morning Starr Thursday that “most times, the behaviour or the kind of lives the so-called Christians live, the people we are supposed to look after, our mentors, make us question ourselves as to whether it’s worth it.”

He revealed that he was disappointed, hence the release of his latest single ‘things fall apart’.

“God has patience. There is no love in the church. We are not loving our neighbours as ourselves in the church. The monies they take are not used to spread love, because some churches even have credit unions and members pay back loans with interest,” he said.

He added “by all means, we have someone or two people who are doing the right thing. But they will be about just 10%.”

The 3-time songwriter of the year, however, noted explicitly that he was just addressing issues, and not looking to engage in blame games, or target a certain belief.”

“So who, the cap fits. I’m not doing blame games, everyone is part of it. But it’s targeted at the believers,” he noted.
