I have not been paid my full Vodafone Icons money - Chris

Chris Chris

The troubles in reality shows in Ghana don`t know how to be evasive no matter the level or the stature of the reality show. When we thought that all had ended with some reality shows in Ghana, just last Tuesday on AM Pluzz, another information came that was shocking to us as industry players.

According to Royal Chris who is known privately as Christian Owusu, he has not even received his full prize package as was promised by Vodafone to him and he thinks Evolution Ghana, the organization handling the event would sort that out soon. For your information, Chris won the Vodafone Icons in 2014 so what it means is that, he has been waiting for the past two years to claim the full amount he was promised. Meanwhile, he is driving the car he was given by the organizers and he tells media people the car is still in good condition.

After doing Otega with Sonnie Badu which saw him traveling with Sonnie to Kenya for a tour, he is back with a single track he did solely and promotion for the single song has started. With the single called Obrempong, which was produced by Genius Selection and rendered in a reggae vein, Chris sings about the majesty of God and how different countries interpret that in their languages. He mentioned South Africa, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Ghana as the countries that experiment with the majesty of God.

When he was asked what he learnt from Sonnie Babu during his working time with him, he responded that Sonnie Badu is a perfectionist who doesn`t just do things but makes sure he does it to the brim. “My father paid for the cost of Sonnie Badu featuring me including flying him to Ghana to perform with me on the VGMA stage. I am grateful to all my fans who have supported me all this while and my prayer is that, they continue to support me in all my doings” he added.
