Nigerian actress Chioma Akpotha has in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz said she hates to hear her own voice or see herself in her movies.

According to her, she feels she is never enough.

When she was asked if she watches her own movies, she said she feels she sounds funny when she watches her own movies.

“I don’t like to see myself. I hate to hear my voice that’s why I’m not even wearing the headphone. I feel I sound funny”, she stated

She, however, added that she watches if she gathers the courage.

“I watch them not to entertain myself but I hate criticizing myself. I’m never enough. I just feel that way so I go back and still work and then I actually hear from people what they think about each movie I make and then if I have the courage, I watch”, she said.

She added that her husband is her greatest critic.

“He’s my greatest critic. Oh my goodness. Sometimes I don’t even tell him that the film I just shot is out. He’s just there waiting, when is it out? I don’t know. I don’t know. Why are you asking me? Just leave me alone”, she said.

She continued by saying she does not go to the premieres with her husband because she is a very private person.

“My private life is private. I’m very private as a matter of fact. He can be at the venue. Most times he’s at the venue with me but we’re not together”.
