In the recent hail of cynicism targeted at Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour), the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), one name has popped up as the ‘right’ person to take over the Commander-in-Chief of the group and that is Desmond Blackmore, popularly known as D-Black.
The rapper, for some reason, seem to be popular among his peers in the industry as many are blurting his name as the right fellow to handle the affairs of members of the Union – www.entertainmentgh.com can state!
MzGee of Hitz FM ‘Entertainment News’ got in touch with the rapper about the calls for him to pick up the position and his thoughts of vying for the slot.
Queried if he is interested in running for the position of MUSIGA President, he retorted boldly -“I don’t want to run for MUSIGA President, they should just give it to me.”
According to the ‘Vera’ hitmaker, he’s had several calls from some influential industry players, calling on him to pursue the Presidency.
“Even before the recent tweets against Obour, I’ve had calls to go for it. I told them I had to get abreast of the MUSIGA constitution, ” he disclosed.
On his capabilities of handling such a top job, he assured his readiness in taking up such a role, especially when he is now privy to the constitution of the group and his reliance on teamwork.
