The chorus among the masses in the country for some time now has been the calls on the Akuffo-Addo led government to help make the standard of living in the country a lot better for the citizenry. As such calls on the government continue, ‘American Burger’, Anita Afriyie has also sent out a strong appeal to the president, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.

The sensational gospel musician revealed that even though she didn’t vote for President Akuffo-Addo in the 2016 general election, she expects the president to do more to ease the hardship the country is currently in.

Anita Afriyie added that listening to the then flag bearer Akuffo-Addo in 2016, she felt that he was going to do a lot of great things for Ghana because of the things he promised anytime he mounted any platform to campaign. She stressed that hopes were raised higher because of the things the president said at the time but most of the promises have not seen the light of the day.

Anita also made her case to President Akuffo-Addo with former President Kuffour’s presidency. The ‘Adehye Mogya’ hitmaker made the opined that every Ghanaian will testify that during Kuffour’s era as president the standard of living was very good. At that time, she argues that the economy and Ghana’s currency were very valuable and not as terrible as it is today. She then urged President Akuffo-Addo to try and make the country better under his leadership, just like former President Kuffour did.

The gospel musician also had a very simple message for all Ghanaians. She stated that in as much as we all look up to leadership to do good for us, we should all also try to abide by rules and work hard to move the nation forward.

Anita further stated during her conversation with Zionfelix that all the great things we see abroad on television and through traveling are all the handy work of the citizenry and not just leaders and the president.
