I did not run away from Paris - 'Runaway' model debunks false rumors

The 2018 winner of Ghana’s Next Super Model event, Grace Ama Mensimah Amponsah who allegedly went missing a day after arriving in Paris where she had been billed to feature at 4 major shows in Monaco has spoken for the first time after the incident.

In a press release copied to Ghanaweb.com, the model said she didn’t run away as organisers claimed and that she is shocked they could fabricate such lies to tarnish her image.

The model in the press release pleaded with Ghanaians to ignore the rumours and falsehoods about her and urged all modelling agencies that want to work with her to contact her.

It would be recalled that a few weeks ago news was rife in the media about a Ghanaian model who went missing when she got to Paris for a show. At the time of the report, her management claimed they stepped out of their rented apartment to buy drinks only to return to a locked door. Later when they broke into the apartment worried about the safety of Grace, they found she had disappeared along with her passport and other documents leaving behind her luggage.

An alleged “media release” currently circulating on social media and WhatsApp claims that the Winner of the just ended Ghana’s Next Super Model, Grace Ama Mensimah Amponsah run away from Paris after arriving at the Charles de Gaulle Airport with her manager.

It is very disturbing to note that my former management, Sparkzuta International Modeling Agency created this content to defame me rather than to publicly promote my talent as a young model.

In this regard, I am pleading with the general public both in and outside the country to kindly debunk any news regarding this issue as it is only meant to damage a good reputation.
