Rapper Kwaw Kese Rapper Kwaw Kese

Ghana has legalized marijuana for health and industrial purpose and this news has attracted comments from a cross-section of Ghanaian including Kwaw Kese.

Reacting to the news, the Ghanaian rapper, who was jailed in 2015 for smoking wee, commended the government for the move and extended a warning to the Ghana Police service not to bother him with marijuana cases should they find any on him again.

Kwaw Kese in a video declared himself sick and emphasised that he will now be smoking for health purposes. “Right now the tampi has been legalized for medicinal use so from today going I am sick, Ghana Police, I am sickler and Nana Addo said I can smoke all the time … so I am smoking for health issue” he said.

The ex-convict further called on the government to now decriminalised the possession and smoking cannabis in Ghana after lauding Nana Addo for what he describes as the best thing his government has ever done. Watch the video below to hear more from him.

As Ghana Legalizes Marijuana For Health And Industrial Purposes [Watch] • • According to Kwaw Kese, the bill passed by Ghana’s parliament some few days ago is the best thing the Nana Addo led NPP government has ever done. Further commenting on the news, the “Abodam” musician who we aren’t sure has any certificate as a Medical Doctor, has declared himself sick and emphasized that he’ll now be smoking the green leaves for health purpose. Kwaw in 2014 was arrested for publicly smoking marijuana, he was handed a day in jail in 2015 and fined Gh1200. Before his sentencing, he was remanded in prison for months and it looks he is missing the place as he is intending to interpret the new law in his own way to smoke wee anyhow he wants.
