I am a staunch NPP member - Michael Afrane reveals

Star Kumawood Actor, Michael Afrane has disclosed that he is a staunch member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The Actor who is contesting the Manso Nkwanta Constituency in the Amansie West district as an Independent Candidate refuted claims that he is part of a group ‘Asante Faithfuls for Mahama’ who are championing the course of President Dramani Mahama within the local industry.

Disclosing his political affiliation on Ultimate fm E-Review hosted by Naa Klordey Odonkor, he urged his supporters to ignore the rumour.

‘I am a staunch NPP member, do you understand, excuse me to say, I can’t be part of that group, it’s never true that I belong to the Asante faithfuls for Mahama, Ola even cleared this claim on air,’ he said.

The parliamentary hopeful believes he would be able to balance acting with politics.

Afranie was part of Kumasi-based actors and actresses who attended the funeral of the President’s mother at Busunu in the Central Gonja of the Northern Region.
