I am Ready To Assist The People-Afutu Neequaye

GHANAIANS HAVE been called upon to use music to educate the people against social vices, apart from using it to promote the work of God.

The assembly member for Blemagor electoral area at Abeka, a suburb of Accra, Stephen Afutu Neequaye, who made the call in a chat with BEATWAVES, noted that since music plays an active role in the lives of many people, it could be used as an educational tool to reach the people.

He noted that as a citizen and assembly member, it was his duty to assist people in his community in the development of their lives as well as the community. “As a member of the assembly I am ready to assist the people,” he declared.

Afutu Neequaye, who believes music plays an important role in the society, stated that he would use his good office to support any artiste who was ready to come out with songs that will help the people develop their lifestyles.

Highlighting some of his achievements as an assembly member for his community, Stephen Afutu Neequaye stressed that he recently registered 470 children with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) from his own resources.

He disclosed that based on his commitment to support the needy in society, he had constructed two bus stops at Abeka, as well as speed rumps. He has also ensured that there is regular lifting of solid waste and fixing of street lights in the community.

He noted that the development of the country depended on the collective responsibility of the people to work harder to supplement the efforts of the government towards nation-building.

Stephen Afutu Neequaye, who is recognised for the good job he is doing in his community, is seen as one of the most hard-working assembly members the country can boast of.
