"I Am Not A Virgin"

Joe Shortingo aka Joseph Pamfo, one of Ghana’s finest actors, has revealed that he is not a virgin, as people may perceive. According to Shortingo, despite his diminutive size, women love him but he noted that he is in a serious relationship with a pretty lady who is twice his height. Despite his height, he is able to handle his girlfriend very well.

“Despite my physique my girlfriend respects and loves me a lot, I also love her so much,” Shortingo revealed. Shortingo, 24, is a former student of Darkuman One Junior High School and Wesley Grammar High School, all in Accra. After his senior high school education, he took a course in software application. He is the last child among five children. Shortingo is also noted for his fluency in the Queens language.

He entered the Ghanaian movie industry 6 years ago in the movie ‘Alomo Gyata’. Other movies he has featured in include ‘Bosomba,’ ‘Konongo Kaya’, ‘Owuo Safoa,’ ‘My Love’, among others. On the international scene, he played a role in a movie titled ‘Baba’s Song’, which was shot in Malawi in 2007 and featured Hollywood actress Franka Potente of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ fame.

His next target is Hollywood, which he said with hard work he would surely get there. Shortingo, a native of Apam in the Central Region, revealed that formerly he used to worry about his small stature but he has now seen that it is a great advantage because he could pass for child, even though he is an adult.

Before joining the movie industry, he was into writing. He has also had a stint with the comedian Iced Water. Aki and Pawpaw, the famous Nigerian actors, he said, inspired him a lot.
