Animation brings versatility in music videos
Ghanaian music videos use animation to inspire creativity and diversity. Some musicians like Chase, Magnom, and Dark Suburb used animations in their music videos; ‘Fire’, ‘Economy’, and ‘The awakening’ respectively.
Shining light on great Ghanaian animators
Poka studios
They are a group of Ghanaian animators who released animation pictures of males/females and meaning of the Akan day-born names.
They have gone international, and recently, Nigerian artiste, Teni the entertainer, used their services for her music video.
El Carna
The animator, Elkanah Kwadwo Mpesum uses a sensual and painterly style of art. He uses rich colours and beautifully patterned flowing lines.
Tales of Nazir
Ghanaian animator, Louis Appiah created the comic animation series in 2014. The series is about a character, Nazir, and the challenges he faces. It has been enjoyed by Ghanaians for many years.
