Weekend’s can be pretty hectic for folks who work during the week, having to deal with loads of outstanding issues- from domestic chores to social responsibilities.
These social responsibilities range from outdoorings to funerals. Whilst driving to and from these functions, the radio still continues to play a crucial role in the in-car entertainment enjoyed by folks.
It is therefore no wonder that Ghana’s premier entertainment station, Hitz 103.7 Fm, has introduced some programmes to spice up the weekends of radio listeners.
On Saturdays, listeners can now enjoy uninterrupted R&B hit tunes that will fill them with nostalgia as the station dishes some of the finest R&B tunes available. Weekend Lockdown runs from 10am to 12 pm and is a talk-free show that has been put together by the station’s team of crack programmers.
Hitz Fm has introduced two exciting new shows to its lineup of programmes on Sundays. From 10am to 12 noon, the station presents Rocking Time, two hours of the finest Lover’s Rock. It will be followed by another two hours of hiplife in a show dubbed Hiplife Extraordinaire. The show takes you on a trip down memory lane for some of the finest hiplife songs available. The show is presented by the indefatigable Kwame Bee who is a hiplifer with a number of singles under his belt.
According to the Programmes Director of Hitz Fm, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey aka Daddy Bosco, the shows have been introduced to complement the station’s exciting array of programmes, bearing in mind the needs of the station’s target audience and the offerings on the radio landscape.
Hitz Fm, one of the stations in the Multimedia stable housed in the premises of Joy Fm, runs a purely entertaining format with programmes such as Day Break Hitz with Lexis, Taxi Driver with the outspoken ombudsman Blakk Rasta and Cruise Control by the entertaining Kwame Bee.
