Nii Ayite Hammond, The Head of Production at Charterhouse, organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Aawrds has resigned from the company after supervising the last event which was marred by Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy fans.
Nii Ayite Hammond worked with Charterhouse for 17 good years. Within those years, he supervised successful events such as Ghana Music Awards, Ovation Red Carol Concert, Miss Malaika, etc.
The veteran media personality also played huge roles in making television shows such as ‘Agoro’, ‘It Takes 2’, ‘The Challenge’, ‘Rhythmz’, etc a success.
From what we have gathered, Nii Ayite Hammond resigned as the Head of Production at the event company to take up a managerial role in a new TV station.
Nii Ayite Hammond will be managing Hope Channel, a television station owned by Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA).
Interestingly the resignation comes barely 48 hours after Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy reunited following the ban placed on them by Charterhouse.
It is unclear if the VGMA 2019 fracas has anything to do with Nii Ayite Hammond’s decision to resign but Ghpage.com has our ears on the ground. We will update you when something new comes up.
