Gossiping will not put food on your table – John Dumelo to haters

Actor John Dumelo has adviced individuals who waste their time talking about the successes and failures of other people to desist from that and make a productive use of their time God has given them.

The actor who came under serious criticism after a post on Instagram intended to ridicule a graduate who sells bread on the street of Accra rather turned into a backlash for him believes it is worth it if people stop gossiping about others and concentrate on making a better life for themselves.

In a post on Instagram, the actor noted that “People just talk and talk about others as if there is a reward at the end of the year”.

He quizzed “What’s your business if your female friend has bought a new house? Or a car? Let that inspire you to work harder or even share ideas. Gossiping will not put food on your table. What’s your business if someone is always on a plane going somewhere or her marriage is not working out? How does that affect you?…..”

He indicated that people should desist from gossiping about people and rather concentrate on things that will put food on their tables and stop hating people because it only suggests they are threatened by the success of the people.

People ask me how I deal with negative comments. I always Tell them, “see, God has given all of us 24 hours in a day, I’m using mine to achieve my set goals and be a better businessman and citizen, so if you will waste an hour to write or talk about me, who ends up “lost”?.
