Gospel musicians are their own enemies - DKB

DKB DKB

Comedian DKB seems not to be happy with Ghanaian gospel musicians just because they hit him hard when he defended George Quaye over his bribery claims.

Derrick Kobina Bonney as he is known in real life has asked Ghanaian gospel musicians to put a stop to their evil behaviour because it does not suit their personality as ministers of the gospel.

Speaking to Franky5 on Hitz FM, the comedian disclosed that gospel musicians in the country put up certain bad acts even secular artistes who are tagged sinners won’t exhibit.

The king of Ghana comedy on This Is Gospel entertainment show alleged that gospel musicians pay DJs to stop playing songs of their competitors. Not just that, he added that they also say no to events when they are told their keen competitors are on the bill.

As if these accusations against gospel musicians were not enough, DKB went ahead to classify modern Ghanaian gospel songs as ones, which lack spirit. He advised them to keep the name, gospel pure for the public to respect the genre of music.

“There are so many negative things being said about gospel musicians that they have to work on their own life and how they will be able to keep themselves clean.

There are so many mischievous things gospel musicians do those secular musicians won’t even think about. Sometimes I even ask myself are these people really ordained by God?

They should keep themselves clean and make the gospel genre more respectful and less scandalous genre. Some of the things I heard were very bad.

Even these days you hear gospel music and you don’t feel the anointing.” DKB told Franky5 on This Is Gospel Show.
