Gospel music must be taken as part of evangelisation

New Edubiase (Ash), Dec 27, GNA- The Reverend Badu Bofah, Superintendent Minister of the New Edubiase circuit of the Methodist Church, has called on gospel musicians to view the songs they compose as part of evangelisation.

He said songs controlled emotions and social development even more than preaching.

Rev Bofah regretted, however, that instead of musicians using their songs to mould characters, they rather make people commit social injustices.

Addressing the local church choir in the circuit at an end-of-year party organised by Mr Samuel Mensah, chairman of the circuit choirs at New Edubiase, he urged gospel musicians to present their songs in an unblemished manner.

Rev Bofah advised the choristers particularly the youth among them to do away with immorality and focus on their studies. Mr Mensah expressed his appreciation to the excellent work choristers in the circuit had done and commended them for their dedication and commitment.
