Multiple award-winning gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy has said Gospel Music is now a capital intensive venture in Ghana.

She noted that gospel artistes pay high fees for studio session before their works are recorded, more so music videos of these musicians are also paid for before being aired on the various Television platforms.

The Gospel Diva further stated that promotion on radio is a concern for most new musicians as it also cost much.

The ‘Aseda’ singer, disclosed that she will do collaboration with any secular artiste if it is the will of God.

“I will have no problem doing collaboration with any secular musician if God directs me to do so.”

When asked about the progress of her current album ‘Aforeba’ she said “Am surprised about the rate at which my recent album is soaring. We prayed over it and I thank God for the pace at which it is moving and the kind of heart the fans accepted this song with.”

The gospel artiste real name Mercy Twum Boafo said she feels overwhelmed when her fans share their opinions on her costume and stage performance.

“Mostly I listen to my fans when they criticize my outfit. I love it when am corrected by them.”
