Ghanaian singer Sefa has opened up about her personal struggles and growth, revealing how her spiritual journey is helping build self-love and resilience.
Speaking in a recent interview on Pulse Ghana, Sefa established that she has been learning to be kinder to herself despite being naturally self-critical.
“I feel like God is teaching me how to love myself more. I always say this because I always find myself in a space where I overthink things,” she said.
According to Sefa, her tendency to overanalyze situations and push herself has made her realize the importance of embracing who she is, not just as an artiste but as a growing woman.
“I feel like maybe I can achieve a lot of things and I’m very critical about myself, so I’m learning to love myself, not just as Sefa an artiste but a woman who is growing to stand on her own feet,” she explained.

She further noted that her journey has taught her the importance of self-reliance and spiritual grounding, especially during difficult moments.
“It gets to a point where you are all you have, so you need to pray for yourself and ask God to show you the way. To direct you to your highest self,” she shared.
Sefa clarified that while she may not consider herself overly religious, she strongly identifies as a spiritual person who believes in a higher power.
“I won’t say I’m too religious, but I’m more on the spiritual side. I believe in a higher power more than me and I believe that there’s someone up there who’s taking care of all of us,” she stated.
The singer also disclosed that she leans heavily on her faith for emotional support, especially since she does not have a close circle of friends.
“I go back to cry to God over everything. I really don’t have friends, so I always communicate with God and I feel like I have a close relationship with Him. I don’t just see Him as my creator but my brother and my everything,” she added.
